Tesco moves towards sustainability: an ever-growing charging infrastructure
Tesco has recently been buzzing with activities of installing electricity charging stations for electric cars across the country. Over 300 Tesco stores have become the locations to have charging points installed, granting customers the possibility to charge their EVs during the time of shopping.
Pod Point will provide the charging points, while Instavolt will do the same. They include a variety of 7kW, 22kW, and 50kW rapid chargers to cover the diverse needs in vehicle charging speeds.
Some outlets have two to three chargers, others might have 20-30 charging bays depending on the size of the store. Charge instruments are placed at the entrance of the store, or in the parking lot.
