Unveiled by a company in Virginia, USA, Revo Zero car is a trendsetter in the industry as they make cars with zero emissions. The car is a fusion of electricity and hydrogen and it is already taking orders. We bring a closer look at this car.
Revo Zero: Hydrogen fused with electricity
In a first of its kind car model or design, Revo Zero aims to play a crucial role in terms of emissions while taking care of the nature. The Virginia-based start-up, is taking pre-orders for its hydrogen SUV, Energy, which is a pFC (plug-in fuel cell) technology zero-emissions SUV vehicle.
Set to compete with the likes of Tesla, the car was unveiled in December last year and brings something unique. The Revo Zero breaks the mould of traditional electric vehicle hybrid vehicle designs.
A car review magazine reports that the car is in fact, it’s a first of its kind as far as plug-in hybrid vehicles go.
Compared to other rivalling plug-in hybrids available on today’s market, Revo Energy uses hydrogen instead of a fossil fuel-powered internal combustion engine as back-up power for the on-board battery.
How does the Revo Car technology works
HydrogenFuelNews announced that the car is capable of using hydrogen throughits integrated pFC unit which keeps the fuel cell (provided by Nuvera) and battery.
The Moment has gathered that Revo Zero’s innovative pFC Technology combines a plug-in fuel cell with a battery and hydrogen tanks.
“Ultimately, the result is a plug-in fuel cell module that combines the best features of each technology,” reports the news outlet.
“The battery functions as the primary power source while the hydrogen fuel adds power to extend the vehicle’s range.”
How far can Revo Zero can go
Per the information available on LinkedIn and various publications, the zero-emission EV and hydrogen SUV hybrid boasts an up to 700-mile range.
The car maker also announced that their unique “technology allows for fast refueling (as little as 7 minutes on average with H70 dispenser) and extended range, up to 700+ miles (longest EV range in the market)..“
“This hybrid EV hydrogen SUV (which looks something like an SUV with minivan features) is ideal for both short and long-distance trips.”
While the release date is not announced as yet, the company is taking pre-orders for its limited run of model Energy vehicles but there are limited details on where the car will be manufactured including information such as the price.
However, the information released by Revo is that “the model ENERGY is currently in development and will be launched once all safety testing is completed.”
As things stand, potential buyers looking for the SUV range are urged to make a deposit of $500 which is fully refundable at the company’s official site.
Revo Zero: The first in the world
A post doing the rounds on LinkedIn.com says the Zero model is the first in the world (made in the USA) to combine a Hydrogen Fuel Cell and an Electric Battery into a sleek SUV design.
By just taking a look at it, there is no doubt that the car offers both luxury and innovation and it is now available for pre-order with a $500 refundable deposit.
As a buyer and SUV lover looking for a powerful machine, this brand is the one for you, “although a Fuel Cell Car runs on electricity, it does so differently than battery-powered or plug-in hybrid cars. In a fuel cell, hydrogen reacts electrochemically to produce electricity to power it.”
In conclusion, it is revealed that the quick refueling base station supports cartridge swapping and refueling by hose.
